Week of 9/30/19 - 10/4/19

N Granese has completed the first phase of water main lining work from Pickett St to St. Mary’s Church. They are currently on the final reinstallations of water services for residents and businesses in that phase. They have started the next phase (St. Mary’s to Railroad Ave) by laying the temporary water main on the side of the road. They will be moving the residents and businesses in this phase onto the temp water main during the week. A link to that project can be found here.

City crews are continuing to install lighting conduit and light bases throughout the entire corridor on the odd side of the street between Pond St - Abbott St.

The sidewalk contractor (J Marchese) is constructing the odd side of the road and will continue demolition of old sidewalks, setting new curb lines and installation of new streetscape features. The plan for the week is to finish the sidewalks between Church St and the St. Mary’s Church bump out.

Expect delays and proceed with caution. The City of Beverly puts a high priority on the safety of the construction workers and police officers. Let ‘em work! Let ‘em live!
